Dear Sharon,
I’m writing to you today regarding the modification to my mortgage through your company. I have worked at my job in Providence, RI for six years and have gotten laid off each year due to lack of work. This year I was let go in March. I did collect Unemployment benefits, but the amount I collected was over $100 less per week, and over $500 less per month. As you can imagine, this decrease in pay will cause finances to diminish.

I met with Housing Counselor, Dianne Waddell, and action was immediately taken. At the time that I met with Dianne, I was extremely nervous because I was receiving notice of acceleration on my home. As a single parent I was very nervous of my daughter & I being displaced.
Dianne worked diligently with me and my bank to rectify this situation. She faxed all documents requested, swiftly followed up with their representatives, and put my mind at ease because of her caring and professional demeanor. I am now part of a modification program and my mortgage is more affordable. I have made payments on time and no longer am in jeopardy of losing my home, thanks to Dianne and West Elmwood Housing. I just wanted to take this time to thank you and your company but most of all, I hope that Dianne Waddell gets the recognition that she deserves for her hard work and perseverance in this matter.
